Meet Heath Evans
Heath Evans graduated from The King's Academy in West Palm Beach, Florida in 1997. A fullback for the 2009-10 New Orleans Saints, Heath views his success in the very public arena of professional sports at the highest level as nothing more than a platform to impact lives for Christ. He speaks frequently at schools and churches in South Florida, Alabama, and around the country. His two major initiatives in the community reflect his devotion to spreading the Gospel and serving others. The Heath Evans Foundation is dedicated to fostering hope and healing in the lives of children and families affected by sexual abuse through Christian counseling and intervention.
The Heath Evans 7-on-7 Championship, now in its fourth year, invites athletes from around South Florida to participate in a highly competitive athletic arena while exposing them to a clear presentation and invitation to accept the Gospel of Christ through powerful Christian speakers such as 2006 NFL MVP Shaun Alexander and 3-time Super Bowl Winner and current New England Patriots chaplain Don Davis. The event serves the two-fold purpose of sharing Christ with the athletes who play (and the high-profile professional athletes who attend: Zach Thomas, Daniel Graham, Kevin Faulk, and others) and raising money to help fund the programs and services of the Heath Evans Foundation. Heath was recently honored by Athletes in Action New England with the Ernie Tavilla Award for Outstanding Character and Leadership honoree.
